Basecamp Resorts Supports Alberta Cancer Foundation

At Basecamp, we’re not just about providing unique and magical travel experiences (although, we're pretty darn good at it!). We also believe in giving back to our community and lending a hand to support causes that aim to make a significant impact. And as such, Basecamp Resorts will be making a substantial donation of $100,000 over the course of the next three years to support the Alberta Cancer Foundations Mobile Breast Cancer Screening program. This contribution aims to replace the current mammography equipment with state-of-the-art units, ensuring uninterrupted and enhanced breast cancer screening services for rural Albertans.

A Bit About the Alberta Cancer Foundation

They're an incredible crew tirelessly working on improving and providing early stage prognosis through funding state-of-the-art research, patient care, and prevention programs. Recognizing the impact of cancer on individuals and families, we were compelled to contribute to their ongoing efforts.

This initiative also hits close to home for our CEO and founder, Sky McLean. In the past year, two of Sky's closest friends have faced the heartbreaking reality of cancer—either losing their lives or receiving life-altering prognosis. That's why this cause is deeply personal and meaningful to us. It's not just about supporting a foundation; it's about channeling our passion and determination to make a real impact in the fight against cancer.
